Had a fun weekend of driving and performing, smoking and sleeping. Started off the "weekend" on wednesday night when a photographer from the Staten Island Advance stopped by to take pictures of The Higher Concept and the Contraband while we were having band practice. We were supposed to be doing an interview as well, but Mr. Johnson couldn't make it out so he just sent the photographer by. A 30 rack of beers, 3 dutches, and a photoshoot later. I found myself alone in the living room with a blunt in my mouth and LOST on the TV screen. After LOST I caught up on the previous mondays 24 and passed out. Drove home early the next morning to get my Jew on. The photo shoot had made me miss the first nights seder dinner but I was able to make it in time for the second nights dinner at my Aunts house. After a nice day with the fam and catching up with The Mad Chef himsef Mr. James Chase, whose got some reallll big things in the works, I made it back to Staten at 4am saturday morning. Nothing is better than walking into your house at 4am and actually seeing people up and about. Marz and Tekst we're still up and puffing when I got back so I sat in on one with them and then passed out around 6. Up at 2, pack for New Hampshire show, bounce out at 3. Twisted three up on the road, burned em down, fell asleep and woke up in New Hampshire. 5 hours there... not to horrible but longer then expected. Show was fun, a good 50-75 people in the crowd and lots of love from the audience. Shout to to Trunkface and Scott James for having us out. The band that was supposed to play after us wasn't able to because there drummer went outside to puff something before their set and got arrested. They couldn't bail him out in time. How shitty is that??? Anyways, show finished up around 1. Trunkface and Co. were heading back to Rhode Island which was a good two hours away so we just decided to hop back in the car and drive all the way home. 5 hours and 2 L's later we thought we were almost there. Tekst, who was driving was losing steam and we had no more dutches. We turned a corner and saw a sign... 47 Miles to NYC. The look on Teksts face was priceless. He was utterly destraught... haha needless to say we made it back in one piece and passed the fuck out.... I LOVE THIS LIFE
Until next time - IB
